How to Apply Greenhouse Repair Tape
- Clean the area. Remove dust, moisture, and debris from the damaged film area.
- Dry the plastic completely. Tape should be applied to a clean, dry surface.
- Cut a patch larger than the damage. Extend the tape beyond the hole or tear by several inches when possible.
- Apply firm pressure. Press the tape smoothly onto the film and remove air pockets.
- For stronger repairs, patch both sides. When accessible, apply tape to both the inside and outside of the plastic.
- Check repairs periodically. Inspect taped areas during regular greenhouse maintenance.
For best results, do not apply over dirt, condensation, or loose film. Repair small holes quickly before wind or tension causes the damage to spread.
